Information on LEED certification, Energy Star products, and both state and federal tax incentives changes frequently. We work with businesses in Oregon and Washington to help them achieve their energy goals - whether that's LEED certification or incrementally better energy efficiency through insulation and roofing installations. Because of frequent program changes, we've provided direct links to the relevant programs for commercial buildings.
The U.S. Green Building Council developed the LEED certification and rating system to reward and recognize sustainable building practices from design through to operation. Points are awarded based on where materials were created, amount of recycled material within the product, and energy efficiency after installation.

Pabco's shingles are produced in the Pacific Northwest. According to their website, the PABCO® Roofing Products may help contribute to meeting LEED requirements in Materials & Resource – Recycled Content (4.1 and 4.2) and Regional Materials (5.1 and 5.2).
CertainTeed’s Landmark Solaris shingles are both LEED and Energy Star-rated. These meet Energy Star standards for solar reflectance and thermal emissivity.
Energy Star is a rating system for energy efficient products and offers tax credits for energy efficiency to businesses. Many types of roofing from single ply/membrane to shingles and tiles can be rated by Energy Star for their energy efficiency. Just choosing an Energy Star product though does not automatically entitle businesses (or consumers) to a tax rebate. Learn more about these programs through these links.

Oregon's Energy Trust offers commercial buildings tax incentives for installing energy efficient insulation. At this point, customers must be served by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas to be eligible for the rebates.
